Britain's Got Talent's Surprising Winners

Competition reality TV has officially gone to the dogs as Britain's Got Talent awards the top prize to a talented canine. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

The amazing dog was on an impossible mission as the theme from Mission Impossible played. His name is Pudsey, and along with his 17-year-old trainer Ashleigh, the pooch defied all odds to make it to the finals of Britain's Got Talent.

He spun around, and his balance was incredible.

In the moment of truth it was down to Ashleigh and Pudsey and a singing duo. Would the contest go to the dogs?

"Ashleigh and Pudsey!" announced the show's hosts Ant and Dec.

What a payday for the winners—half a million pounds, which works out to about $800,000.

Even Simon Cowell was awed by the canine triumph.

"Life's work is now complete," said Cowell.
