Little Lori Anne Madison is a remarkable six-year-old who will leave you spellbound.
She actually had to lower the microphone to give her answer when it was her turn, but when it came to spelling, this pint-sized home-schooled second grader from northern Virginia stood tall.
She spelt "Dirigible," without a problem. Sadly, her Cinderella story ended in the next round, with a word you don't hear every day, "Ingluvies."
But she took the loss like a champ.
"Everyone's proud of me that I did such a great job and I almost made it," she said at a press conferance after the competition.
Meanwhile, the contest goes on with kids from across the nation spelling words you probably never knew existed!
Whoever wins this contest takes home a $30,000 top prize and rest assured that little Madison is sure to r-e-t-u-r-n next year.
