On the Red Carpet for the CMT Music Awards

INSIDE EDITION was on the red carpet for the hottest night in country music - The CMT Awards.

Carrie Underwood was the big winner at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, taking home two awards including the big one – "Video of the Year" for her hit, "Good Girl."

All the talk on the red carpet was about 19-year-old Miley Cyrus' engagement to Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth.

Listen up Ms. Cyrus, because the ladies of country music have lots of helpful tips.

Carrie Underwood told our Megan Alexander, "Oh gosh, enjoy, enjoy being engaged, enjoy planning."

Kelly Pickler said, "Laugh a lot. I just married my best friend and we laugh a lot."

Miranda Lambert said, "Learn his bad habits right now!"

Making sure to take advantage of the large audience watching the CMT Awards both President Obama and Mitt Romney jumped in on the action. In a spoof video opening the show, they joked about taking credit for selecting Toby Keith and Kristen Bell as hosts of the show.

Sparkly metallic dresses were the trend of the night. Charlie Sheen's ex, Denise Richards looked gorgeous in a cream colored sequined mini dress. Hayden Panettiere, star of the new ABC show, Nashville, looked summery and sweet in a black floral top and cream swing skirt.

But it was stunning Carrie Underwood who walked away as the reigning Queen of Country.
