Taylor Swift Buys Mansion Next to Kennedy Compound

Taylor Swift's obsession with the Kennedy clan just hit a new high after she bought an estate next to the Kennedy compound. INSIDE EDITION has the details.

Taylor Swift and her infatuation with the Kennedy clan has just gotten a lot more intense.

The country cutie bought a vacation estate in Cape Cod for $5 million. And get this—it's across the street from the Kennedy family compound.

The homes are very close together. Swift's new house is a stone's throw away from Ethel Kennedy's home, and next door is the big house, the estate once known as "The Summer White House" when JFK was president.

Fredrik Eklund of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate told INSIDE EDITION, "It's not really about the house itself, or the amenities, or the interiors of the house. It's really about the location of the land. It's very, very prestigious."

Taylor closed on the 13-room waterfront mansion last week. The house has been on the market since 2010 and was originally listed for $13.5 million dollars, so she got a great deal.

The colonial style home gets lots of light and boasts seven spacious bedrooms—plenty of room to play house with her new boyfriend, Connor Kennedy, the 18-year-old son of Bobby Kennedy Jr. and the late Mary Kennedy, who committed suicide in May.

The new place isn't the only big addition to Taylor Swift's life.

Swift said, "I have a new album coming out October 22."

The Grammy® winner made the announcement last night on her YouTube page. The new album is called Red, and it's all about her ex-boyfriends.

"They're all pretty much about the tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships I've experienced in the last two years," said Swift.

Taylor has famously dated Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner. Now, she's adding Connor Kennedy to her list of smitten fellas. And if they ever break up, all she has to do is walk across the street to tell him the bad news.
