Could the particular kind of attention Honey Boo Boo is getting at such a young age be harmful to her as she grows up? INSIDE EDITION reports.
In a recent interview with INSIDE EDITION, the TLC reality star, Honey Boo Boo said, "I'm Honey Boo Boo child. I'm on INSIDE EDITION. I'm outta here, peace."
Honey Boo Boo is everywhere, going on a publicity blitz to promote her hit TV show. She was up late on Jimmy Kimmel where she told the audience, "You better redneck-onize."
Kimmel asked the reality star, “Who are you going to support for president? Mitt Romney or Barack Obama?”
“Barack Obama," said Honey Boo Boo.
And she acted out during an appearance on local TV in Los Angeles. Now, many are asking, “is this all too much for a 7-year-old girl?”
Psychologist Wendy Walsh told INSIDE EDITION, "This young girl has no idea what's happening to her. What is happening, she believes is what is going to happen for the rest of her life. She believes the more she acts up, the more she will be rewarded."
Honey Boo Boo's mother, June, told INSIDE EDITION’s Jim Moret that Honey Boo Boo is handling fame just fine.
Moret asked "Are you worried about when this all ends?"
“No, because we are staying well grounded. And we are, like, being who we are. Period, " said June.
But Honey Boo Boo clearly knows she's different than other little girls her age. She even passed out publicity photos of herself to fans in Beverly Hills.
"I see red flags all over the place. I'm a little nervous for her. I'm more than a little nervous for her," said Walsh.
