Lindsay Lohan Arrested For Punching Woman In Nightclub

INSIDE EDITION has the latest on Lindsay Lohan's arrest outside a popular New York City nightclub after she was charged with misdemeanor assault after allegedly striking another woman in the face.

Lindsay Lohan is in hot water again.

She was hiding her face under her coat as she left a police precinct in New York City. The troubled star was arrested early Thursday morning for allegedly punching a woman at a trendy nightclub in Manhattan.

It was a chaotic scene as Lindsay was released from the precinct after being charged with misdemeanor assault in the 4 a.m. incident.

In the midst of the madness, Lindsay was heard screaming at her assistant, Gavin Doyle, who was getting in a van.

"Gavin get out of the car! Get out of the car Gavin! Get him out of the car! Get him out of the car now!", she was heard screaming.

Moments later, Doyle did as ordered and got out of the car.

Police say Lindsay and the other woman were sitting in separate VIP sections at club Avenue when a fight broke out and when they both stood to watch. They bumped into each other and words were exchanged. Lindsay reportedly told the woman to, “Stay out of my space.” They separated, but a few moments later, Lindsay allegedly punched the woman in the face.

Lindsay's latest woes were a hot topic everywhere.

Barbara Walters said on The View, "Good heavens, when does it end with this woman?"

Kathie Lee Gifford said on the Today show, "Someone please, please, take care of her."

A woman was injured in the nightclub melee and a bruise was visible on her cheek. Her friend was identified as 28-year-old Tiffany Eve Mitchell. Her husband was quoted by the New York Post as saying she was assaulted by Lindsay.

He said, "Lindsay Lohan got drunk and went crazy...hit my wife."

The woman Lindsay allegedly punched is a former psychic from Palm Beach, Florida.

One report claims that after she was arrested, a stunned Lindsay asked cops, "Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?"

Earlier in the evening, Lindsay attended the Justin Bieber concert at Madison Square Garden.

She posted photos and was having a good time and tweeted, "I love all of my fans and @justinbieber!!! Thank you so much for putting a smile on my face!! Lots of Love!"

But later that night, things went very wrong.

As if that weren't bad enough, Lindsay is also facing charges on the other side of the country.

According to a report, she's expected to be charged with three crimes related to a car crash last June on California's Pacific Coast Highway for falsely telling police that she was not the driver of a car that crashed into the rear of a truck. In fact, she was allegedly behind the wheel.

Last week, Lindsay got terrible reviews for her role in the TV movie Liz and Dick, in which she portrays the legendary Elizabeth Taylor.

Now, Lindsay Lohan is in trouble with the law once more.

HLN's Jane Velez-Mitchell told INSIDE EDITION, "No matter how many times she is caught. No matter how many times she goes before a judge, she never really does any hard time. We will see if this time is different."
