Man Behind Bars After an Alleged Attempt to Break Into Taylor Swift's Nashville Mansion

An alleged intruder was arrested after trying to break into Taylor Swift's Nashville home, and told police he was there to spend the holidays with her. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

Police say 24-year-old Jacob Kulke is in custody after trying to break into Taylor Swift's Nashville mansion, armed with a knife.

He traveled by bus from Wisconsin to be with Swift on her 23rd birthday. He was arrested just before 2 a.m. after allegedly jumping the fence at her southern style mansion.

Kulke tweeted this mysterious message Thursday, "Had to go to see about a girl." The next tweet was a happy birthday wish to Swift, along with a photo he apparently took at the Nashville bus station.

Kulke has a rap sheet that includes convictions for assault and burglary. His lawyer is calling the incident a misunderstanding, claiming Kulke has an online relationship with Swift.

Swift was not at home. She is in Northern England with her new boyfriend, Harry Styles of the boy band One Direction. He gave her 23 cupcakes to mark the day.

Swift just released her 23rd video, and it's getting lots of attention from the fashion press for her edgy new look. The heavy dark eye make-up gives the country cutie a tougher, harder look.
