A pregnant princess, a newly single lady, and a very sexy daddy-to-be. They all top People magazine's list of the 25 Most Intriguing People of the year.
Michelle Tan, Senior Editor of People told INSIDE EDITION, "We've seen a more independent, more confident Katie Holmes emerge."
Paula Deen is also on the list. In 2012, the queen of butter took heat after she revealed her Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis, but went on to drop 40 pounds.
Hunky Channing Tatum had a very big year. He broke through to major stardom in the stripper movie Magic Mike, was named People's sexiest man alive, and he just found out he's going to be a dad.
Honey Boo Boo posed for the magazine, which hits newsstands Friday. Seven-year-old Alana Thompson, the year's most-talked-about reality star, is dressed up as Eloise at the Plaza.
"She's really just embracing her new stardom," said Tan.
And the No. 1 most intriguing person of 2012? It's Kate Middleton, who thrilled the world with the news of her pregnancy.
Tan said, "She's actually had a year of highs and lows. This summer she had the scandal with the topless photos in France. But her year capped off the year with amazing news that she's expecting."
