Photographer Dies Chasing After Justin Bieber's Ferrari

Another paparazzi chase ends in tragedy as a photographer who was chasing down Justin Bieber's Ferrari was killed while trying to snap a photo. INSIDE EDITION has the details.

Justin Bieber is expressing shock and sorrow after a photographer was killed trying to get a picture of his $200,000 white Ferrari.

It happened less than 24 hours after Bieber helped ring in 2013 singing on New Years Rockin’ Eve. On New Year's Day a paparazzo spotted Bieber’s Ferrari at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills. He chased the car thinking Bieber was driving, but it was reportedly being driven by Bieber’s friend, rapper Lil’ Twist.

The tragic accident happened on busy Sepulveda Boulevard in West Los Angeles. The guy driving Bieber's car was pulled over for allegedly speeding, and cops say that's when the photographer ran across four lanes of traffic to get a shot. He was ordered to get back across the street, and that's when he was struck by another car and killed.

LAPD officer Cleon Joseph told INSIDE EDITION, "It is pretty dangerous. You are running on open road. No matter what your job is, it is not worth risking your life. It is a sad loss."

The photographer was identified as Chris Guerra.

After the accident, Bieber released this statement: "My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim. Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation... to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves."
