Leah Remini Reportedly Leaves Church of Scientology

According to a published report, Leah Remini has felt the Church of Scientology. INSIDE EDITION reports.

King of Queens star Leah Remini, who famously gave birth the Scientology way—in silence—is reportedly making a "dramatic break" from the controversial religion.

The New York Post quotes a source as saying: "Leah Remini is stepping back from a regime she thinks it's corrupt. She thinks no religion should tear apart a family or abuse someone under the umbrella of religion."

Remini is said to have been forced to undergo "interrogations" and "thought modification" for five years after she questioned the rule of leader David Miscavige.

Remini's reported rupture with the church is said to have started at Tom Cruise's wedding to Katie Holmes in 2006. Remini reportedly asked about the whereabouts of Miscavige's wife, Shelly and was told, "You don't have the [bleeping] rank to ask about Shelly."

Published reports claim Shelly hasn't been seen in years, and may be in "the hole," where misbehaving Scientologists are held. Scientology denies the existence of the hole.

Scientology told INSIDE EDITION, "The church respects the privacy of parishioners and has no comment about any individual church member."
