Seven-Year-Old Cancer Patient Steals Show At ESPY Awards

While top athletes may have been in the spotlight at the 2013 ESPY Awards, it was a young cancer patient who became the center of attention. INSIDE EDITION has the report.

America’s top athletes were all glammed up for the 2013 ESPY Awards Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

One of the biggest stars of the night was actually a young man. Seven-year-old Jack Hoffman is fighting brain cancer. He took home the "Best Moment" award for his memorable 70-yard touchdown during a Nebraska Cornhuskers game.

His dad escorted him onto the stage. Jack said, “This is super-duper awesome. Thanks for the trophy. I’m glad that you are all now on Team Jack.”

Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, recovering from a rare blood disorder, received the Arthur Ashe award for courage.

Roberts said, "I draw strength from you. You give me the courage to face down any challenge. Know that when fear knocks, let faith answer the door."
