Debbie Rowe Gives Shocking Testimony In Jackson Trial

In a video deposition, Debbie Rowe had some harsh words for the doctors who tended to Michael Jackson over the years. INSIDE EDITION has more.

Michael Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe arrived for a second day of testimony in the Jackson family's $40-billion wrongful-death lawsuit.

In a video deposition played in court, Rowe broke down when asked why she insisted on being present when doctors gave Jackson the powerful drug Propofol to sleep.

"I wanted to make sure he woke up," Rowe tearfully said.

Rowe is the mother of Prince and Paris Jackson, who are plaintiffs in the lawsuit, but she's actually not testifying for them. Instead, she's a reluctant defense witness for the concert promoter AEG which claims that Jackson's use of Propofol began years before Dr. Conrad Murray gave it to him for his ill-fated This Is It tour.

Debbie Rowe testified at Los Angeles Superior Court that Michael Jackson used Propofol to sleep as early as the mid-1990's. She also blasted Jackson's doctors, saying they were in competition with each other to fuel his addiction to painkilling drugs.

She actually called them "idiots (who) were going back and forth the whole time, not caring about him."

Rowe has often been described as a nurse, but it turns out she told the court she was actually trained as an Emergency Medical Technician.

She testified: "Michael had a very low pain tolerance, and his fear of pain was incredible, and I think the doctors took advantage of him that way."

Attorney Royal Oakes told INSIDE EDITION, "Debbie Rowe could be a pivotal witness in this case. If this jury listens to her and says, 'I get it...it was Propofol all along and AEG came in at the 11th hour,' that could tilt the case toward AEG."
