Kanye West's enormous ego was on full display during his big appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and reaction is raining down.
Kathie Lee Gifford said on the Today show, "The lack of modesty, at least to me, is the least attractive thing in a human being."
He also compared himself to some of history's greatest minds. He said, "Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Howard Hughes, David Stern, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Jesus, or whatever. These are my heroes. These are the people I look up to. This is the type of impact I want to make on the Earth."
Now, the internet is buzzing about his arrogance.
"Creative geniuses...don't...call themselves creative geniuses in public," said one comment.
"I do think Kanye West is a creative genius, but i also wish he'd shut up about it," said another.
But Whoopi Goldberg is stepping up to defend the rapper. She said on The View, "If he wants to feel like he is a genius, what is wrong with that?"
West went on the late night show to settle his beef with Kimmel. Their feud started last month when Kimmel aired a spoof with a bratty kid portraying West.
Kimmel said to West, "A lot a people think you are a jerk. I often, in my own personal conversations, say, 'No, I know this guy. He is not a jerk.'"
West said, "Jimmy, you know, does his thing and I do my thing and at a certain point these egos can flair up and everything. We kind of just took it back to high school for a little bit."
Kimmel joked, "I got beat up a lot in high school. So, I didn't want to go back to high school."
West’s girlfriend Kim Kardashian arrived at Kimmel's studio in Los Angeles with baby North West hidden under a blanket. Kardashian’s skintight dress showed off her flat tummy, no baby weight there.
Backstage, she tweeted, “This Jimmy Kimmel interview is the truth!”
An overly-excited fan was taken down by security guards as West left. West looked on as security took control of the situation. Then, he and Kardashian headed to dinner at an L.A. hotspot.
