Golden couple, Rory McIlroy and tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki have been dating for two years and they seemed inseparable. But last month, Caroline posted a photo of Rory fast asleep with his mouth open on Twitter with the caption: "JETLAG! LOL!"
Her friends were stunned.
“Omg Caro u are soooo mean!!!!,” tweeted Serena Williams.
Another friend tweeted, “I suspect someone will not be too happy with you Caroline.”
Now, a well-regarded newspaper in Ireland where McIlroy lives, is quoting a source as saying, "Yes they are over. It's a difficult time for them both."
The golfer was asked about the rumored break-up at a golf tournament in South Korea, but was tight lipped.
He said, “My private life is private and I’d like to leave it that way.”
Caroline is insisting the relationship is not over. She was quoted as saying, "All is well and there's not much more to say about it."
