George Lopez Responds to Comments Surrounding His Drunk Night in Canada

George Lopez used his own embarrassing drunk moment for comic material, joking about his recent incident at a hotel in Canada. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

Comedian George Lopez is speaking for the first time about the shocking photo showing him passed out dead drunk on the floor of a casino.

“A guy can’t have 52 shots?” he joked.

Lopez made non-stop jokes during his standup act at the casino in Windsor, Canada, over the weekend. He told audiences, “I just did in Windsor what Justin Bieber does in America!”

Police took Lopez into custody, but released him without pressing charges after he sobered up.

“What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. But what happens in Windsor, everyone (blank) knows,” he joked.

Now, many are wondering whether he’s risking his health, pointing out that he received a kidney transplant from his ex-wife Ann almost ten years ago. Lopez claimed he was giving up alcohol, once telling ABC that the transplant saved his life.

In an interview with ABC Primetime after the transplant, Lopez said, "I feel alive, I feel as good as I did bad. I mean it’s unbelievable."

ABC News Chief Health and Medical Editor Dr. Richard Besser didn’t want to speak about Lopez directly, but he did have something to say about the disturbing photo. In an exclusive interview, Besser told INSIDE EDITION, “Getting a kidney transplant really gives you another lease on life. You really don’t want to do anything that could put that at risk.”
