People magazine L.A. senior writer Julie Jordan told INSIDE EDITION, "Every year we look to see who bubbles to the surface, and this year Lupita Nyong'o was just amazing."
It's quite a difference from last year's controversial pick—Gwyneth Paltrow. There was backlash, such as "Huh?" and "Is this pompous film star really the world's most beautiful woman?”
