It's the show where rich, great-looking people spend their time boozing and bed-hopping. But not everybody was charmed by the new Bravo reality show Southern Charm.
That's because it's set in historic Charleston, South Carolina which has been rated the Best City in the Country by Conde Nast Traveler, and has been renowned for the past two decades as the "Most Mannerly" city in the United States.
You'd never know it by watching Southern Charm and that has the locals up in arms.
One resident told INSIDE EDITION, "I was born and raised here, and I don't get hammered every night and hook up with random girls!"
Cast member Craig Conover doesn't take Southern Charm too seriously. He told INSIDE EDITION, "In the beginning, everyone thought we were going to be the new Jersey Shore, just dressed differently! It's silly. I mean, we know how silly it is."

Another cast member is Thomas Ravenel, the former State Treasurer of South Carolina who pled guilty to cocaine-related federal drug charges seven years ago. During the shows first season, he impregnated a woman thirty years his junior named Kathryn Calhoun Dennis. She's a descendant of John C. Calhoun, the seventh Vice President of the United States, but that's probably not why you may have heard of her. You may know her when she was busted for underage drinking a few years back. Her mug shot went viral because she looked so hot.
She told INSIDE EDITION then, "The charges were dropped, but the mug shot was public knowledge!"
And now, she's a mom—Southern Charm style.
Time will tell what kind of impact this will have on genteel Charleston, South Carolina.
