LeBron James Carried Off Court At NBA Game Without Air Conditioning

An air conditioning malfunction made for one memorable NBA final, when superstar LeBron James was carried off the court as fans tried to keep their cool. INSIDE EDITION has more.

Basketball fans were struggling to stay cool during the NBA finals where the air conditioning system broke down, and the temperature soared to 90 degrees!

An NBA finals announcer said, "It's so hot in this place right now. The fans are fanning themselves!"

Nearly 19,000 fans sweltered as they cheered for the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center, and they weren't the only ones who suffered.

Miami Heat superstar LeBron James tottered, doubled over and was finally carried off the court with crucial minutes left to play. He couldn't take the heat and his legs cramped up.

And now, the Internet is exploding with reactions to the basketball giant who wilted. LeBron's sweat had barely dried before a new verb went viral: "LeBroning".

The pictures tell it all, and some pranksters duplicated the way he had to be carried off the court in San Antonio.

"You wonder how much the lack of air conditioning and the heat of this building is coming into play with this and everything else," the announcer commented.

This isn't the first time a mechanical failure has tainted a big-time sporting event. You'll recall how the lights suddenly went out at the Superdome in the midst of Super Bowl 47, delaying the game for 35 minutes.

But there was no delay of game in San Antonio. They played on to the bitter end as LeBron James was carried off the court and the fans struggled to stay cool.
