Everywhere you look during a U.S. World Cup match, the soccer fan dressed as Teddy Roosevelt or as he prefers, “Teddy Goalsevelt,” is there.
When the U.S. scored against Portugal, Teddy was there filling the TV screen, as he was screaming his lungs out. He even made the front page of The Wall Street Journal.
So, who is this guy?
He told INSIDE EDITION’s Megan Alexander, “I'm just an insane fan!”
His name isn't Teddy. It's really Mike D'Amico and he's from Chicago where he works in advertising.
He said, “I thought, ‘I’m going to Brazil we're going to the Amazon, who better to lead the fans than Teddy Roosevelt.’ Plus, I have the mustache!”

He says he styled his costume after President Roosevelt’s Rough Rider uniform. He makes for a convincing lookalike and it sure has caught on with the fans.
Teddy is mobbed wherever he goes.
“It is really hard to wrap my head around that people care that much, but it’s really great and I’m just trying to enjoy it,” he said.
So, here's to Teddy, leading the charge for Team USA.
