The possible return of Rosie O'Donnell to The View is being blasted by none other than her old nemesis, Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
"What could ruin a vacation more than to hear news like this? Here in comes to The View the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network, and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there," said Hasselbeck.
Mary Murphy of the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism told INSIDE EDITION, "The feud has lasted a lot longer than the blow up we saw on TV. Elisabeth obviously has deep wounds from Rosie."
O'Donnell made a big splash when she appeared on Barbara Walters' last day on The View in May. She even sat next to Hasselbeck to show there were no hard feelings.
During the retirement show, O'Donnell was asked, "Rosie what do you miss most about sitting at the table?" to which O'Donnell joked, "Uh, fighting with this skinny one, right here."
Now Hasselbeck is revealing that the ill will from that memorable clash exists to this day. Hasselbeck claims that O'Donnell told her off-camera that she actually produced Walters' retirement show.
"Would you think that the woman who left that the way she did would be producing Barbara's goodbye show? Here's the shocker. It was actually her hello show. I do believe that this has been in the works for a long, long time," said Hasselbeck.
Negotiations to bring O'Donnell back to The View continue between the TV personality and ABC. O'Donnell is said to be demanding to have veto power over who's hired to be her co-hosts, as she's said to refuse to work with any co-host who has a background in reality TV.
Murphy said, "Rosie's going to be in the power position. She'll get what she wants because they need her."
Now that Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy have been let go, only Whoopi Goldberg remains as a co-host.
Hasselbeck continued, "Let's not forget Whoopi Goldberg is sitting there and Whoopi is not going to let anybody control her. I'm gonna be very interested to see how that goes."
