Bachelorette Controversy

Controversy ignited over the finale of The Bachelorette when the runner-up broke the Don’t Kiss and Tell rule on air. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

TV personality Bob Beckel is coming under heat for what he said about Bachelorette Andi Dorfman.

Beckel, a panelist on FOX news' The Five, made the controversial comment after it was revealed that Dorfman apparently had sex with a contestant on The Bachelorette.  Beckel and FOX panelist Andrea Tantaros exchanged words over the situation.

Beckel: "She's a slut."

Tantaros: "Are you kidding me right now?"

Beckel: "No I'm not kidding you. When she sleeps with somebody else and doesn't tell the other guy about it..."

Tantaros: "Excuse me. Bob, you probably sleep with a different woman every night."

Bob: "Yeah but I'm not on The Bachelorette."

Nick Viall, a computer software salesman from Chicago, broke the show's golden rule, "Don't kiss and tell."

"If you weren't in love with me, I'm just not sure why, like, why you made love with me," said Viall.

Dorfman replied, "Well, first of all I think that's kind of below the belt. I think that's something that's private and should be kept private."

A spurned Viall made the revelation after The Bachelorette chose rival Josh Murray during the finale that aired Monday night.

Now he's dealing with the considerable blowback.

"What a jerk. I mean, really. He has to say that with her fiancé backstage," joked Jimmy Kimmel during his show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Kathie Lee Gifford commented about the controversy on the Today show. "I'm embarrassed for everyone involved. I just am. It's degrading to human beings."

We know that time heals wounds. Hopefully, it also heals hurt feelings.
