Battle of The Human Barbies

Three women have transformed themselves into human Barbie dolls, and they all come from the same country. INSIDE EDITION takes a look at the triple Barbie phenomenon.

Call it the battle of the real-life Barbie dolls!

There is 28-year-old Valeria Lukyanova. Then, there's 21-year-old Alina Kovalevskaya, who also claims to be the real-life Barbie. Finally, there is the newest human Barbie, 16-year-old Lolita Richi.

Now, brace yourself for a shock about this triple-Barbie phenomenon. They're all from the very same troubled part of the world—Ukraine. Valeria and Alina are from Odessa, while Lolita hails from Kiev, just 274 miles away.

This is more than just a coincidence, according to Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Marc Mani.

He told INSIDE EDITION, "These areas in Eastern Europe are where the girls have a body type that's kind of similar to Barbie. They all probably look up to that body image, and I think that's why in this part of the world they're trying to exaggerate it more in a completely impractical way."

Dr. Mani examined photos of the real-life Barbies, two of whom claim they've never had plastic surgery.

His conclusion?

"Almost certainly, they're lying. They have probably had work done. I think these girls were born thin, but they've definitely had some extreme plastic surgery procedures to get this look," he said.

And though they may look like living dolls, they don't always play nicely! Here's what Alina says of Valeria: "I realized she is not a person with whom I would like to talk or even be friends."

Ouch! From Russia without love!
