Kathy Griffin's Mother Maggie Finds Fame at 90

Kathy Griffin's 90-year-old mother Maggie has won a following thanks to her appearances on Kathy's Bravo reality show, and now she's written a book! INSIDE EDITION has the details.

Imagine finding fame at age 90! That's exactly what's happened to Maggie Griffin, mom of comedian Kathy Griffin.

At 90 years old, Maggie's become a fan favorite on the Bravo reality series Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.

Maggie has just published her first book, Tip It!: The World According to Maggie.

INSIDE EDITION caught up with Maggie and Kathy at a book signing in Los Angeles. Kathy honored her mother by wearing a muumuu.

"If you notice the artwork on the cover of her book it's almost as if she tried to obliterate my face, and that was not lost on me," Kathy joked. "First of all I am dressed as my mom tonight so I am wearing her classic muumuu and like all slightly elderly yet vital women she's got emergency Kleenex in her bra."

"Kathy loves to provoke me. She likes to shock me, and she likes to kind of fluster me," Maggie said on one episode of the show.

As a child, Maggie says Kathy was a perfect angel...quite a different picture than Kathy's public persona as a comedian who's known for her outlandish behavior.

Maggie says a good box of wine helps her cope with her daughter's antics and her newfound fame but in the end she wouldn't want it any other way.

"Believe it or not I'm really her biggest fan," she says of her daughter.
