Producer Alan Ladd Jr.'s Wife Says Bill Cosby Raped Her

The latest woman to come forward with accusations against Bill Cosby is the wife of famed Hollywood producer Alan Ladd Jr. INSIDE EDITION has details.

The wife of a legendary Hollywood producer says she was raped by Bill Cosby.

Cindra Ladd, a wealthy Beverly Hills philanthropist and wife of famed producer Alan Ladd Jr., revealed what she says happened to her in a first person story in the Huffington Post.

She says she went on a date with Cosby in New York City in 1969. When she told Cosby she had a headache, he allegedly gave her a pill. She says when she asked what was in it, he said, "Don't you trust me?"

"What I do recall, vividly and clearly, is waking up the next morning nude in bed and seeing Cosby wearing a white terrycloth bathrobe. It was obvious to me that he had had sex with me. I was horrified, embarrassed and ashamed. There was a mirror above the bed, which shocked me further," she writes.

She says she never even considered reporting the incident.

"It was a different time and "date rape" was a concept that didn't exist," she says. "It was years before "date rape" drugs made the news."

Sixteen years later, she married Alan Ladd Jr., the studio executive who oversaw Star Wars. He also is credited with such successes as Chariots of Fire and Alien. He won an Oscar for Best Picture for producing Mel Gibson's Braveheart.

Cindra Ladd joins more than 30 women who are accusing Cosby of molesting them. He has not reponded to her allegations.

Ms. Ladd says her husband introduced to her to Cosby decades after the alleged rape but Cosby did not recognize her and treated her like a stranger. She says his reaction spoke volumes. She also says she will not sue, adding she is speaking out now simply because "It is the right thing to do."
