For the first time, the world is hearing from the woman at the center of the Kyron Horman mystery.
Now she tells people.com, "They wanted me to tell them that Terri did it or that Terri knew something. But I didn't tell them what they wanted to hear."
"DeDe told us that Terri loved Kyron, loved Kyron like he was her son and that she could never do anything to hurt him," says Tatsha Richardson of People magazine.
Spicher, a marathon runner, is a workout buddy of Terri's and she stayed at Terri's house for 11 days right after Kyron vanished.
Spicher has been described by the boy's family as "uncooperative" and "suspicious," but she says she told authorities everything she knows and she's now publicly coming to Terri's defense.
"If I thought for a second that she was capable of [foul play], I would not have been there," she said.
Police say both women's whereabouts the day Kyron went missing remain a mystery.
Recently, authorities released a new flyer asking for information from anyone who might have seen DeDe Spicher or Terri Horman that day.
"She really believes her friend is innocent and she could never, ever turn her back on her," Richardson says.
While Kyron's biological parents have publicly said they believe both women are involved in the boy's disappearance, the two women deny any involvement.
