'Titanic,' 'Avatar' composer James Horner, 61, Dies in Plane Crash

Composer James Horner died in a plane crash Monday.

James Horner, famous for composing the Titanic hit, My Heart Will Go On, died in a plane crash Monday. The 61-year-old was piloting the small aircraft when it crashed north of Santa Barbara, California.

Horner wrote the music for the two highest-grossing movies of all time, Avatar and Titanic, which earned him two Oscars.

Celine Dion, who sings, My Heart Will Go On, issued a statement on her Facebook page: “He will always remain a great composer in our hearts. James played an important part in my career. We will miss him.”
