While on vacation with his dad, one nine-year-old got the catch of a lifetime!
Nine-year-old Kegan Rothman and his dad, Dan, were visiting Chilliwack, British Columbia from New Jersey. While fishing on Fraser River the four-foot tall kid caught a sturgeon estimated to weigh 600 pounds!
After almost a two hour struggle with the help of his dad and a Great River Fishing Adventure guide they reeled the big catch near the shore and Kegan got in the water.

They released the 10-foot fish and Kegan helped direct it back to the river even though he wanted to hang around.
Great River Fishing Adventures has caught and released many other monster-sized sturgeons, the two biggest have weighed over 1,000 pounds.
What an incredible catch for this young boy!
