Military Dad Surprising 5-Year-Old Son at Baseball Game Will Make You Smile

After nearly a year away from his family, one military dad wanted to return home in a surprising way.

After 10 months of being deployed, United States Army Sergeant Adam Dowell surprised his five-year-old son during a Tennessee Smokies minor league baseball game.

Little Braydon thought he was randomly chosen for a dancing competition and had to wear a blind fold, but when he turned around he was shocked to see his hero dad.

The emotional reunion had everyone on their feet and in tears, but Adam also had a special surprise for his daughter, he was hiding in a wrapped present box.

Adam told INSIDE EDITION that his wife planned the surprise and the kids were even more thrilled when he told them that he would home for good.

Adam said: ““The setup of the surprise is total credit to my wife and one of my good friends/co-worker’s wife. I was still out processing through fort bliss. The Smokies were great with handling the surprise and all the staff were just as excited as us so they made it great.”
