108-Year-Old Woman Becomes Oldest Person to Throw a First Pitch

108-year-old Evelyn Jones became the oldest person to throw the first pitch and she did it for her favorite team.

One hundred eight-year-old Evelyn Jones became the oldest person in history to throw a ceremonial first pitch at an MLB game. The Seattle Mariners fan celebrated her birthday by throwing the ball at Safeco Field before a game against the Los Angeles Angels.

A team spokesperson said that Evelyn watches every game in her room at her retirement community in her team gear and watches the games alone so that the other residents of the community do not disturb her as she watches her team.

She wasn't the only centenarian who threw a first pitch on Saturday -- 104-year-old Baltimore Orioles fan Cora Purcell threw the first pitch before her team took on the Washington Nationals.

Both women had pretty impressive throws and are an inspiration!
