Is the end near for Bobbi Kristina?
That's what many are asking today after a hearse was seen arriving at the hospice outside Atlanta where she's being cared for. A privacy tent has been erected and the hearse backed right up to it -- blocking the entrance from view.
Bobbi Kristina’s family are said to be at Peachtree Christian Hospice.
Inside, the reception area is furnished like a luxury hotel with comfortable seating and an inviting fireplace. There are just 16 patients in the exclusive hospice. The waiting area even has toys for children.
The rooms look out onto a lush private courtyard. The corridors gleam and the walls are covered in artwork. There’s a small chapel for prayer.
INSIDE EDITION spoke to Anita Brickman of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
She said: "I would hope for a peaceful tranquil setting in which that family can deal with this very difficult time. Hospice can make things homelike and intimate for families. Music from home, lighting, anything that can makes the patient and family more comfortable."
The appearance of the tent and the hearse are the first significant developments at the hospice since Bobbi Kristina was transferred there three weeks ago and could indicate that her days are numbered.
Brickman said: “The family and the hospice staff are making preparations. They want to make sure the family can say their goodbyes in privacy if in fact her death is imminent.”
Atlanta police are treating the case as a criminal investigation. While Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has reportedly has been served with a $10 million lawsuit by her conservators.
