A kind-hearted cop has been pictured sharing a meal with a homeless man on a Florida roadside.
TiAnna Greene spotted the act of compassion as she stopped for a traffic light in Ocala, Florida earlier this month and took a photo, which she shared to Facebook.
"It appeared that she purchased this gentleman's breakfast and decided to sit down and have breakfast with him," Greene wrote in the post, which has been shared more than 2,000 times.
"I don't know this officer, but, I admire her today and everyday... Absolutely wonderful act of kindness that seemed to come naturally for her."
She added: "If anyone knows this fine officer, please let her know that she made a difference today not only in the life of this gentleman, but, in the lives of everyone that she comes in contact with."
The Ocala Police Department also shared the images online and identified the officer as Sergeant Erica Hay.
"She bought & shared a meal with a homeless citizen - Serving citizens with a heart!!" the department wrote.
Hay said she did not know the man but saw him sitting alone so bought him some food.
"He was just there by himself alone, so I just grabbed food and went back to eat with him," she told TODAY. "Nobody wants to eat alone. I like eating with anybody."
She said that she enjoyed talking to the man, adding: "He's got a story, just like everyone else. 'It just happens to be a sad story."
