He was picked up in Redwood Valley, California around 7.30pm. Authorities have not released any details surrounding the arrest.

But police previously said they came across former POW Bowe Bergdhal during a drug bust in the same location last Tuesday.

Silverstone was released about an hour afterwards and his bond amount was listed at $25,000. The Mendocino County District Attorney is reviewing the charges against those arrested in the raid.

Alicia Silverstone, 38, is best known for her role in the 1995 film Clueless. She is pictured with her brother in 2005 at the Environmental Media Awards:

Bergdhal, who was captured in Afghanistan in 2009, was released in an exchange with five Taliban leaders in 2014.

Last week, Bergdhal was at a ranch in Redwood Valley when authorities came onto the property, seizing 181 marijuana plants. Bergdhal told authorities he was visiting friends and was eventually escorted back to his base.

He was not charged with any crime in the incident but is awaiting a court martial at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas for allegedly deserting the army in 2009.
