Sharon Osbourne Slams Lion Killer: 'He's a Heinous Person, I Want to See Him Destroyed'

Sharon Osbourne expressed her outrage to INSIDE EDITION over the dentist who hunted Cecil the lion.

Sharon Osbourne has harsh words for Dr. Walter James Palmer, the dentist who hunted down and slaughtered a lion in Zimbabwe.

“He is a heinous person," she told INSIDE EDITION. "I want to see him destroyed. I want to see this man pay a penalty for his crime that he committed in my eyes and so many millions of other people’s eyes.”

Dr. Palmer, 55, is said to be hiding out in Minneapolis after hunting down Cecil the lion. He paid $55,000 for a permit to hunt the big cat, who lived at a national park in Zimbabwe.

In a statement to the Minneapolis Star Tribune he said: “I had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favorite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt. I relied on the expertise of my local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt.”

Osbourne added to told INSIDE EDITION: “The only thing that will be the personal satisfaction is to see this man bankrupt, I want none of his patients to never go back."

Cecil was the leader of his pride. Park rangers fear that cubs may now be killed by Jericho, his rival in the pride.

“I want to see this man destroyed financially,” Osbourne said.
