It's one of Washington state's loveliest beauty spots. But danger can lurk at this majestic clifftop location, as young hiker Christian Booth found out.
His distraught mother called 911.
As the bloody teenager was hoisted onto a Coast Guard helicopter, his girlfriend feared the worst.
"I just knew he was alive, but who knew how long he'd be alive," said Booth's girlfriend Jordan McCann.
Booth was rushed to the hospital fighting for his life. Believe it or not, he is amazingly calm about his brush with death.
"It felt like a dream. I felt no pain, because I was in shock," said Booth.
INSIDE EDITION took Booth, who has a broken knee and broken forearm, and his mother Shannon back to the Coast Guard station for an emotional reunion with the heroes who rescued him.
"I wouldn't be here without you guys," said Booth.
They also went back, very gingerly, to the scene.
