The biological mother of Rosie O'Donnell's daughter today said she wanted the girl to "come home" to her.
Chelsea O'Donnell, who was adopted by the comedian as a baby, had been reported missing but was found safe on Tuesday afternoon. She is now in police custody.
Before she was located, her biological mother, Deanna Micoley, expressed her fears for the teen.
“Please find her," Micoley said in a statement to INSIDE EDITION. "I want her home with me where she will be understood and loved unconditionally. I'm so worried."
Earlier on Tuesday, O'Donnell had said that the 17-year-old had not been seen in a week.
Chelsea was adopted by O'Donnell and her former wife, Kelli Carpenter, as a baby.
Earlier this year, Micoley came forward to say she was Chelsea's biological mother, telling National Enquirer: “Rosie O’Donnell has my daughter. She took her.”
Micoley claimed that Rosie illegally adopted Chelsea in 1997. Micoley says she was high on drugs and Chelsea’s biological father put the baby up for adoption without her permission.
“l don't believe I signed my rights and if I did, I was under the influence and I never wanted to give my daughter up for adoption,” said Micoley.
Rosie's spokesperson said in a statement to INSIDE EDITION earlier this year: "It is awful that this woman decided to go public... Rosie LEGALLY adopted Chelsea."
"As an advocate of adoption, Rosie is grateful to all birth mothers everywhere and she hopes that the National Enquirer did not pay this woman."
O'Donnell, who has four other children, had posted a statement to her website on Tuesday to say that Chelsea was missing.
