Emile Hirsch Jailed For Slamming Female Studio Exec to the Ground: 'It Was Reckless and Irresponsible'

'Into the Wild' actor Emile Hirsch will spend 15 days behind bars in Utah for the assault during the Sundance Film Festival.

Actor Emile Hirsch was sentenced to 15 days behind bars by a Salt Lake City judge after admitting he assaulted a studio exec at a local club.

The punishment stems from an incident this past January when the Into the Wild star was in Park City, Utah, for the Sundance Film Festival.

He admits he assaulted a 31-year-old female studio executive at a local nightclub, dragging the woman across a table and slamming her to the floor.

Hirsch told the judge: “There's absolutely no excuse for what happened. I had drank an enormous amount of alcohol but, I know that it was completely wrong, and reckless and irresponsible."
