One seal did not want to end up becoming a meal for a great white shark and did whatever it could to avoid that.

This great white shark was forced to look for another snack after he was filmed jumping from the sea and failing to catch a seal for lunch.

The seal saved itself by leaping out of the water just 30 feet off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
The shark came close to grabbing its prey but the seal bounced off the attacker's snout and then back into the water.
After the failed attempt, the white shark was successful with another seal.
The incredible moment was captured from all angles and witnessed by the Massachusetts division of Marine Fisheries while working with the Atlantic White Shark Conversancy.
“We had never seen a breach out of water before,” AWSC President Cynthia Wigren told ABC News. “It was pretty incredible to see.”

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy researches and studies white sharks in the North Atlantic and, according to the non-profit, there is very little known about the species living on the East Coast.
In 2009 the group first successfully tracked and tagged great whites and now have the ability to study behavior and biology to begin a population estimate.
