Tracy Morgan Makes Surprise Appearance With Funny, Heartfelt Speech

Tracy Morgan shocked the crowd at the 2015 Emmy Awards, appearing for the first time since his van accident.

Tracy Morgan is back!

The 46-year-old funnyman made a surprise appearance at the 2015 Emmy Awards on Sunday, more than a year after being gravely injured in a horrific traffic collision, stepping out to present the award for Best Drama to Game of Thrones. His speech was both heartfelt and funny, drawing big reactions from his former co-stars in the audience, including Tina Fey. Read the full speech below.

Hello, thank you so much. I miss you guys so much. Last year Jimmy Kimmel sat on the stage and said, 'We'll see you back here next year, Tracy Morgan.' Well, Jimmy, thanks to my amazing doctors and the support of my family and my amazing new wife, I'm here, standing on my own two feet. And God bless all of you for all your love, prayers and positive thoughts over the last 15 months. Thank you.

NEWS: Tracy Morgan Weds Longtime Love Megan Wollover

On June 7, 2014, a Walmart tractor-trailer slammed into the limousine that the comedian was riding in on the New Jersey Turnpike. The deadly collision killed Morgan's friend and fellow passenger, James McNair.

Though it previously looked as though the actor could never recover from his injuries, Morgan appeared on the Today show in June of this year for his first live interview since the accident. In August, Morgan wed his longtime love, Megan Wollover, in an intimate ceremony with close friends and family looking on. The couple had been engaged since 2011 and welcomed a daughter together in July 2013.

On Oct. 17, Morgan will make his triumphant return to the Saturday Night Live stage to host the show.
