Jackie Collins Kept 7-Year Cancer Battle a Secret, Even from Her Famous Sister Joan

Jackie Collins kept her lips sealed about her cancer; her sister, actress Joan Collins, only found out two weeks before the author died.

Jackie Collins gave her last TV interview just nine days before she died. She appeared on a British talk show Loose Women, and she said not one word that she knew she was about to die.

News of the 77-year-old's death over the weekend stunned friends, fans and even family.

The best-selling author kept her seven-year battle a secret even from her famous sister, the actress Joan Collins.

Joan was informed just two weeks ago.

Jackie's prolific career spanned four decades.

More than 500 million copies of her racy books have been sold around the world.

She was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer six-and-a-half years ago after ignoring a lump in her breast for two years.
