The body of Andrea DelVesco was found hours before she was due in court to face drugs charges.
Police believe a U.C.L.A. sorority sister’s apartment was torched, and are investigating her death in the fire as a murder.
Andrea Delvesco, 21, was a senior at the school studying psychology and spanish. She was also a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority.

Her sisters at the sorority described her as "a friend to everyone she met." But her life had recently taken a disturbing turn.
In July, she was charged with possessing drugs with intent to sell. She had pleaded not guilty to the drug charges she was facing. Court documents are linking her to LSD, methamphetamine and ecstasy.

She was supposed to be in court Friday, but she was killed in that mysterious fire before she could appear. Some believe she was murdered to stop her blowing the whistle on others.
Her sorority sisters posted a tribute video with the message: “Heaven gained its brightest angel this week and Andy remains in our hearts."
