Walmart Shopper Arrested For Setting Halloween Costumes on Fire

Staff members frantically pulled boxes of candy from shelves to stop the fire from spreading.

A California man was shopping at Walmart when he noticed a man pouring charcoal lighter fluid onto displays of Halloween costumes.

“Within a split second … I saw the flames,” shopper Paul Miller told INSIDE EDITION.

Thinking quickly, Miller managed to shoot  video of employees scrambling to spray fire extinguishers on the fire, which spread through the costumes to an aisle of candy.

"My initial thought was maybe it was just a Halloween trick," Miller said.

The unidentified man was arrested. His motive was not clear.
