Two harbor seals in England who were separated after illicitly mating at their sanctuary got a brief reunion recently with the help of an iPad.
Sija, the female, and her paramour Babyface met face to face for the first time since the summer via FaceTime and their keepers said the results couldn't have been more positive.
Sija had previously lived alongside Babyface 160 miles away from Weymouth at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary.
The two were allowed to live together despite a ban on mating because Babyface--who is 37 and has just one eye--was believed to be too old to sire children.
After the pair managed to have a pup together, Sija was put on birth control.
Despite slim odds, Sija managed to get pregnent with a pup with Babyface yet again. That's when officials chose to separate the two.
Sija now lives with only female seals. Officials weren't sure whether she and Babyface will ever meet in the flesh again.
