New Jersey Devils Owner Josh Harris has said sorry for the scheduling mix-up.

It was an unhappy landing as a billionaire's helicopter touched down on a school soccer field.

A group of youngsters had to cancel their game because the chopper was parked on their field.

It all happened when the chopper arrived to pick up billionaire Josh Harris, the owner of the New Jersey Devils hockey team.

Harris has an agreement with St. Benedict's Prep School in Newark, New Jersey, that helicopters can land on the school field to pick him up after a game, which is about six minutes from the stadium where the Devils play.

But the night in question, the hockey game went into overtime. So the helicopter just sat there in the middle of the soccer field waiting for the billionaire to show up.

Meanwhile, the kids' soccer game that was supposed to be taking place there had to be delayed, until referees decided they had no choice but to scrap the game.

The principal says the whole thing was a mix-up due to "lack of communication" between the helicopter company and the school.

Harris says: "I sincerely apologize to the kids and their coaches and families for the cancelation of their soccer game.

"As a dad, who has spent hundreds of hours watching my kids play sports, I can understand the frustration, and for that, I am truly sorry."
