Cops: Mom Gets DUI with Son, 4, in the Back Seat and Red Bull with Vodka in Cupholder

A Mich. mom was arrested after police say her Jeep swerved through traffic cones. Inside the car was a young boy and booze-filled Red Bull cans, cops say.

A Michigan mother was arrested on suspicion of DUI this month after police say her car was seen swerving all over the road and into several construction cones.

Inside the car, police say they found a four-year-old boy later identified as the woman's son as well as two cans of Red Bull that allegedly contained alcohol.

Dashcam footage shows the roadside sobriety test that police say the woman failed after nearly toppling over while attempting to stand on one leg.

Also in the footage is the heartbreaking moment her little boy, his face blurred out, is led from the back seat by police as they hauled his mother to jail.

In the Milford, Michigan police report obtained by INSIDE EDITION, officers said they approached the woman's black Jeep after it became stuck on the side of the road when construction cones became lodged underneath it.

"I immediately smelled a strong odor of intoxicating beverage and noticed she had very watery eyes and extremely slurred speech," the officer wrote. "I asked how much she had to drink that day and she said 'none.' I noticed that there were two cans of Red Bull in the cup holders next to her."

After the woman provided officers with only a state ID and no license, they discovered her license was expired and that it had previously been suspended twice, according to police.

The woman also had two previous DUI convictions and was arrested. Her son was later picked up by his father.

After she allegedly refused a breathalyzer, a blood sample was taken. Following her release pending results, the woman's BAC was found to be four times the legal limit.

A warrant was requested this week on charges including operating a vehicle while intoxicated and child endangerment.
