It is the eighth year that Johnson - who spent 12 years with the Houston Texans before signing to the Indianapolis Colts this year - has organized the treat for kids.

The children who take part are selected by Harris County Child Protective Services, and many also grabbed gifts for their relatives, KHOU reported.

Johnson spoke to the children via Skype from Indianapolis, saying: “Thank you guys for coming out and supporting my 8th annual shopping spree.”

All of the children were guaranteed a gaming system plus whatever items they could fit in their baskets. They had 81 seconds to grab the toys because 81 is Johnson’s number.
