“I am the quintessential last-minute shopper," she told George.

George told her: "You are not alone. According to a recent survey, 93 percent of Americans scramble to do their last-minute shopping."

George suggested downloading an app called Christmas List, which helps organize budgeting and gift buying.

She warned that shoppers also need to be aware of any shipping deadlines. George recommended ordering by December 18 in order to get the items by Christmas Day and qualify for free shipping.

For someone like Gallagher, who still likes visiting stores, George suggested a smart phone app that is revolutionizing shopping.

RetailMeNot uses GPS technology to alert shoppers to deals that are close by. The app is free and gives you thousands of deals instantly.

“It will keep you organized and help you save a lot of money,” according to George.

RetailMeNot is helping last minute shoppers in the nick of time.
