Zoo Is Hand-Rearing an Adorable Polar Bear Cub After Mother Rejected Her

An adorable polar bear cub is being raised by humans after her mother abandoned her.

The cub was rejected just one week after being born at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio.

Employees removed her after the mother stopped caring for her and took over.

Video released by the zoo last week shows the cub drinking from bottles and sleeping on top of a stuffed polar bear.

The little cub seems to be thriving, zoo officials said.

She gets a bottle every four hours and gains strength by scooting around on a yoga mat.

At birth in November, she weighed just over six pounds and measured a little more than 17 inches.

A sweet video of the cub dreaming went viral after being posted by the zoo.
