The 20-year-old who goes by "Nano" shared her story durning an interview published on NRK P3 Verdens Rikeste Land’s YouTube channel.

Nano says she first realized she was a cat when she was 16 years old.  She says doctors found a "genetic defect" in her DNA, which she claims proves she is indeed a cat.

“Born in the wrong species,” Nano says in the video. “My psychologist told me I can grow out of it, but I doubt it.”

To compensate for her entirely human-like appearance, she wears cat ears and a fake fluffy tail.

Nano claims her cat identity comes from her feline personality and psychological traits.

“Sometime I hiss when meeting dogs in the street. It's because of their behavior and my instinct automatically reacts by hissing,” she said.

She prefers walking on her hands and knees, and sleeps in sinks and on windowsills. She also claims to have ultra-sharp-hearing and cat-like night vision.

Nano also claims she has the ability to communicate with cats born in their proper bodies and speaks to them by meowing and purring.

Nano says she has no plans to change her feline lifestyle and will continue to live as a cat for the rest of her life.
