O.J. Simpson's Lawyer Says It Wasn't a 'Dream Team': 'It Was a Nightmare Team'

One of O.J.'s lawyers shares his opinions on the new miniseries.

Kris Jenner was bombarded with questions outside a Los Angeles restaurant about her portrayal in the blockbuster TV drama The People Vs O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

Jenner was murder victim Nicole Brown Simpson's best friend and her ex-husband, Robert Kardashian, played by David Schwimmer, was Simpson’s lawyer.

One scene in the series shows Simpson threatening to kill himself in the bedroom of Kim Kardashian, who was then 13 years old. In real life the heart pounding scene actually happened in Khloe Kardashian's room, according to published reports

Famed attorney Alan Dershowitz is hooked on the show because he was a member of Simpson’s so-called “Dream Team.”

“I learned a few things,” he told INSIDE EDITION. “I didn’t know about him pointing a gun [at] his head trying to kill himself. I didn't know he flunked a lie detector test.”

Dershowitz says the squad of lawyers being called the “Dream Team” is a farce.

“It was a nightmare team,” he said. “The lawyer’s egos were clashing. Everybody was trying to take credit. We won, not because we were good but because the prosecution so was so bad.”

The prosecution's biggest error, which will be portrayed in a future episode, was allowing Simpson to try on the bloody gloves found at the crime scene. They didn't fit.

“Once he tried on the glove, he was able to walk over to the jury and say it's too small, he didn't have to testify! He had testified and wasn't cross examined,” Dershowitz said.

The show is sparking outrage among cops who investigated the double homicide.

Retired Detective Tom Lang says the series portrays the police as awed by Simpson’s celebrity.

“It's the LAPD on trial. The brutal LAPD. The racist LAPD,” he said. “What really happened is that two young people were brutally slaughtered. Two lives ended tragically. Terribly. That seems to be on the back burner.”
