The Sarah Palin Factor

Even though Sarah Palin's name wasn't on a ballot in the midterm elections, some are saying she's come out of it with even more clout. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

Her name wasn't even on a ballot, but everyone's still talking about whether Sarah Palin came out of election night a winner.

TV anchors and hosts declared Palin was the person to watch.

"All eyes are on Sarah Palin," declared Good Morning America.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck of The View stated, "The power of Palin is there."

And CBS's Nicole Wallace said, "She is one of the shrewdest political figures in our country at this moment."

The majority of candidates Palin endorsed won their races, and CBS News declares she "emerges with even more clout."

But two of her "mama grizzlies"—Christine O'Donnell of Delaware and Sharon Angle in Nevada—came up short at the polls.

"It's really a mixed bag, because in some ways she did really well, but has big losses also," said an INSIDE EDITION source.

Palin is also facing keen disappointment with the results from her home state of Alaska. Her nemesis Lisa Murkowski is leading over Palin-backed Tea Partier Joe Miller in a tight race as a write-in candidate!

Palin spent election night as a consultant for Fox News, and looked relieved after learning the results from another closely contested vote.

"Yes! Bristol Palin is safe, so now I can concentrate on all these other votes!" said Palin.
